As a cat lover, I have always been fond of cat companions in WoW too. My first WoW kitty was a rescue (Siamese Cat) from the evil clutches of a ships cook who had plans to feed him to pirates in the original Deadmines. A friend gifted me a White Kitten, which for a Horde player in Vanilla, I felt quite lucky to have. Overtime I amassed quite a collection of felines, to date I have 23 of the 25 listed for the achievement. While I don't quite fit the traditional stereotype for a Crazy Cat Lady in the real world, I am definitely crazy for cats, in and out of WoW! 

20 of the cats can be obtained through entirely in game sources; vendors, pet battles, achievements and quests. While others are TCG/Pet Store. Here is a list of how to get each of the pets for the achievement.

Black Tabby Cat - A world drop from from Hillsbrad Foothills. Also available on the BMAH.

Calico Cat - Purchased from Breanni in Dalaran.

Cheetah Cub - A wild battle pet found in Northern Barrens.

Cornish Rex Cat - Purchased from Donni Anthania in Elwynn Forest.

Feline Familiar - Available during the Hallow's End world event. Purchased from Dorothy(A) in Elwynn Forest or Chub(H) in Undercity.

Guardian Cub - Available from the Blizzard Pet Store. Can be traded and sold on the AH.
 
Nightsaber Cub - Obtained through the Trading Card Game. Can be traded and sold on the AH.

Panther Cub - Reward for completing the quest Some Good Will Come.

Sapphire Cub - Crafted by Jewelcrafters.

Silver Tabby Cat - Purchased from Donni Anthania in Elwynn Forest.

Spectral Cub  - A promotional pet given to players who attended the Battle.net World Championship Shanghai 2012. Not available to US/EU realms. 

White Kitten - Purchased from Lil' Timmy in Stormwind City.

Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen - Currently on the PTR this pet is purchased with Celestial Coins.
 
Bombay Cat - Purchased from Donni Anthania in Elwynn Forest. Also available on the BMAH.

Cat - A wild battle pet found in Arathi Highlands, Elwynn Forest, Eversong Woods, Netherstorm, Silvermoon City.

Cinder Kitten - Available from the Blizzard Pet Store.

Darkmoon Cub - Available during the Darkmoon Faire. Purchased from Lhara on Darkmoon Island.

Fluxfire Feline - A wild battle pet found in Dun Morogh.

Mr. Bigglesworth - Reward for completing the Raiding With Leashes achievement.

Orange Tabby Cat - Purchased from Donni Anthania in Elwynn Forest.

Sand Kitten - A wild battle pet found in Tanaris.

Siamese Cat - Purchased from Dealer Rashaad in Stormspire, Netherstorm.

Snow Cub - A wild battle pet found in Dun Morogh.

Spectral Tiger Cub - Obtained through the Trading Card Game. Can be traded and sold on the AH.

Winterspring Cub - Purchased from Michelle De Rum in Everlook, Winterspring.

5.4 can't come soon enough, I can't wait to add one more cat to my collection and it's a super cutie!
