Splish Splash

I was taking a nap, I am coming down with a cold and I just felt generally awful. Navi called and the phone was thrust in to my face. 'Huh-hello?' Ok, so I don't really remember any of the conversation except that she wanted me to log on to go in to ToT to splash around. Also some mention of a vanity item, Shado-Pan Geyser Gun.

As I was logging on I googled it. OH NO! You need to jump between the geysers before Tortos. I am bad at that jumping! It reminds me of The Bear and the Lady Fair... BAD! Each bounce gives you one stack of Spray Water. I got to 80... bleh. Getting to 80 was painful enough! A couple more horrible attempts then I was on my way. I almost lost the stacks at around 130 and then again on 199. I was shaking. Calm down! I kept going. You have around a second to re-adjust if you miss the mark.
As your stacks progress, the effect starts to show on your limbs!
Restarting for the above screenshot (I wasn't going to risk any lag by taking a screenshot while I was working on it), I realised it was a lot easier the second time with my UI off and my camera zoomed in much closer to my toon.
Luxygaga, the bully of Krasarang beaches. (I should have taken my I-Scream Cryocannon out of the bank for this!)
The gun looks awesome and is great for shooting any noobs you find on the beach (or Arvash). The item can be mailed to other toons on your account and you can get it in LFR too. Totally worth waking up for!

Whole-Body Shrinka' Mon

Before raid last night, Moopie mentioned on vent that they were taking the Battlefield:Barrens stuff away soon. I didn't do any research but I was scared. I hadn't farmed any of the novelty items on my Priest or Shaman. My Priest because I haven't been playing her and my Shaman because I didn't want to get them on my alt if my main didn't have them (that makes sense...). Worried I would miss out (still I hadn't confirmed the rumour), I rushed off to farm up some Kor'kron Stone. You need 500 Kor'kron Stone for the Whole-Body Shrinka' which is the main item I was after. It was just over an hours work. Not as bad as I was expecting. I picked up 7 of the Kor'kron epic pieces (Latent Kor'kron Belt etc), 1 Rare, 21 Uncommon items, 5 stacks of Windwool Cloth, a lot of vendor trash and a 24 slot bag (Kor'kron Supply Satchel). I didn't know those mobs dropped a bag!
A meager ant. Just 2 Gamon pivots from being crushed.
Now my Shaman had something that my Priest didn't. This wouldn't sit well, so I took Veluxia out there to start farming. She started with 73 stone, an hour later she still didn't have half of what was required from farming on her own. When I started there was no one killing commanders but a /who showed me there were a lot of people in the zone so I flew over and to one of them and joined up with a group who were farming them. Honestly, with the flight time, waiting for everyone to arrive and the random amounts of each resource dropped from each commander, I don't actually think it saved me any time (it may have taken longer) but it felt better killing them in a group.
Dwarfed Gnomed by a Gnome!
Scared of a kitten!
I did some searching online for confirmation on the removal of the event. All I could find was forum posts by players stating that it would be removed but I didn't look very hard. So what about the pet?! I find it hard to imagine Blizzard are simply going to remove the pet with no other means of acquiring it. Wowhead PTR is showing the currency used to buy the items as grey/trash (Kor'kron Stone). There is also the Brawler's Guild quest item Raptorhide Boxing Gloves, that you purchase with a Radical Mojo, which is tied to achievements. I can't see those becoming unobtainable.

I got the item I really wanted, if I can be bothered I might farm up some of the other items but here's hoping I can keep putting it off.

Deck Your Collection: Part 2 - The Should-Have-Been One-Shots

Previously I posted Deck Your Collection: Part 1 - The One-Shots. They weren't consecutive one-shots, there were some less fun bosses in between!

Master Boom Boom
Challenge Card: Master Boom Boom
I died a couple of times to this guy because I was making it harder than it needed to be. I was trying to burst him down fast but it actually caused my wipes. He throws dynamite around the room which is easy to avoid. At 70% and 40%(?) he will leap to the middle of the arena and place a bomb which has 4 fuses coming from around the room. Running over the fuses will put them out which is easy enough when it's just the 4 but I was bursting him down too fast and getting 8 fuses at a time!

Reward: The Boomshirt, Giant Sack of Coins (400g) and 50 Valor Points.

I went back to battle him to get a screenshot. His corpse from the previous battle is still there!

Dippy and Doopy
Challenge Card: Dippy & Doopy
This fight was fairly simple but I reached the enrage timer the first time because I didn't do enough dps while trying to knock both the penguins back. The second attempt I just ignored the big (slow) penguin, kiting him around while I killed the little one, then stood still to finish off the big one.

Reward: Tuxedo-Like Shirt, Humongous Sack of Coins (500g) and 50 Valor Points.

Penguins!
 More Shirts!

"Slippy"
"Boom!"

Part 3 and 4 are still to come!

Blog Azeroth Shared Topic - What is your favorite vanity item in World of Warcraft?

Tabard of the Lightbringer
Noahdeer of Be MOP posted this weeks Blog Azeroth shared topic. This is hard for me! So much of my bag and bank space is taken up by vanity items. All of which I love and use often. Several transformation items were vying for first place but in the end I had to go with my Tabard of the Lightbringer.

I purchased this during Cataclysm having wanted one since it was added to the game in WotLK. It was quite expensive but well worth it! It comes from one of the quests a player gets when they complete the Shadowmourne chain. One of my other favourite items, Sylvanas' Music Box, is also obtained the same way. The items are BoE so can be traded or sold on the AH.

The tabard is not just a pretty face. It has an on-use effect which is quite eye-catching if not blinding on occasion if you zoom in too close! The buff lasts for 5 minutes on a 30 minute cooldown and stacks with other buffs to give some very interesting effects such as Wisp Amulet (glowing orb), Kang's Bindstone (white glow), Disgusting Oozeling (green glow), Shadowform (purple glow).
The tabard effect with the Wisp Amulet!
Flavour text: "May you always bring light into dark places."
It doesn't always match my transmog so I don't wear it unless I have a blue mog usually. This is what happened when I went to get it from the bank... clearly I have been playing too much Horde!

Hey! This isn't the Alliance bank!
Off-topic: Sunshine, Luxypie and Rainbows is one month old! YAY!

Deck Your Collection: Part 1 - The One-Shots

After reaching Rank 8, I was excited to keep brawling but I didn't feel ready for Hexos. I was already collecting the quests for (Collect Your Deck) to battle the optional Brawler's Guild bosses Deck Your Collection. I decided to see how I would go against them since they range between levels 4-9, I was sure I could defeat some of them!

These are the bosses I defeated in one attempt. All fights were completed by Luxygaga, Elemental Shaman.

Grandpa Grumplefloot
Challenge Card: Grandpa Grumplefloot
Even for a Rank 4 boss I expected to die the first time around. He throws Luckydo's around the room. I just avoided them while pew pewing him. Very simple fight for me as ranged.

Reward: Floot-Tooter's Tunic, Giant Sack of Coins (400g) and 50 Valor Points

What's your Luckydo?
Splat
Challenge Card: Splat
Very much like Blat, I just kited the oozes around the room while avoiding the trails of goo they drop on the ground (it hurts). Not very challenging!

Reward: Ooze-Soaked Shirt, Humongous Sack of Coins (500g) and 50 Valor Points.

Splat went... splat.
Razorgrin
Challenge Card: Razorgrin
This brawl made me feel awful. This sharky is just flopping around while I pew pew him! :( He stayed aggro'd on to my Fire Elemental til he despawned then I popped Spiritwalker's Grace to kite him and it was over.

Reward: Sharkskin Tunic, Humongous Sack of Coins (500g) and 50 Valor Points.

Poor sharky :'(
Mecha-Bruce
Challenge Card: Mecha-Bruce
I wasn't expecting to one-shot Mecha-Bruce! I had been watching other people struggle with him. I popped all of my cooldowns and ran around the arena, making sure I was at the opposite end for his stun. Spectators said I made it look so easy!

Reward: Brucehide Jersey, Enormous Sack of Coins (600g) and 50 Valor Points.

Mecha-Bruce got Lux'ed!
The Blind Hero
Challenge Card: Blind Hero
This guy was pretty simple really but he is blind. I felt bad fighting a blind guy and a hero? Shame on me. Another fight where an Elemental Shaman can pop everything and run around in circles. His abilities are very easily avoided and forgiving if you do get hit by him.

Reward: Sightless Mantle, Gigantic Sack of Coins (900g) and 50 Valor Points.

He can't see me!
The shirts rewarded give a buff called Brawling Champion. Each has it's own unique flavour text.

"Splatter of Splat"
"Toot toot!"
"Conqueror of the South Seas"
"BRUUUUUUCE!"

"Look at me!"
I don't know where I am supposed to find room for all of these shirts. With my alt taking over as my main... she is running out of room collecting all the same junk important vanity items that Veluxia is hoarding!
