The Last TCG Pet

The second bid I placed on Sunday was for a Spectral Tiger Cub. The last TCG pet I needed. It was expensive but why not spend the gold I wasn't using anyway! I couldn't wait for ever for a deal like my Soul-Trader Beacon.

"Very Long' really is a very long time. I must have placed my bid shortly after it was listed because it was very close to a full 48 hours when the auction ended. I kept checking back over the 2 days to see if it had changed. When finally it was on 'Long' I got excited! I spent a few hours doing arena with Pandahahka, then logged over again to check. 'Short'! AMG, less than 30 minutes! So I waited at the AH. I was only waiting for 10 or so minutes before the mail icon popped up on my mini-map. YAY!

I leveled it right away. The Darkmoon Faire is up so evil Feasel was my first stop. Since my pet battle teams addon reset I was having trouble remembering which pets to use for him the last couple of nights. Not this time! Infinite Whelpling and Tranquil Mechanical Yeti. I'd also been struggling with my 2v3's on tamers having been so long since I was doing them daily. Feasel was no problem! Infinite took out his Eye with Tail Sweep and Early Advantage took care of the Tonk! I moved the Tiger in, luckily it is magic so it can't get one shot! Then finished off that evil Monkey with Call Lightning and Ion Cannon! Next stop Pandaria tamers and it wasn't long before my new pet was 25.

I then went off to find a nice place to introduce my mount to our new friend.

The next TCG expansion has been announced as not having any new loot cards but instead containing random loot cards from all of the previous expansions. I wonder if this has anything to do with all the TCG items that were bought up on the AH with 5.3's gold duping exploits. Hopefully this will give a lot of people more chances to get some of the older, awesome loot cards while giving my bank account a break with no new pets to buy!
